Terminal Learning Objectives (TLOs) are fixed to national standards, but subordinate course objectives are adjusted based on participants' areas of operation and the overall requirements of the LASR Team.
STEP 1: Get Your Agency Operational - LASR-Sea Pilot Certification Required Core Courses (Blue Seal):
UASA 155 MOST Executive Team Certification
4-days covering the all aspects of either Land.Air.Sea Robotics systems use in public safety. Each 4-day course provides a solid foundation for executives to understand and implement the Maintenance, Operations, Safety, and Training (MOST) components of LASR within a public agency.
UASA 110 Certification/Licensing Test Prep
2-day classroom based, instructor led program taught at your location following a short read-ahead period for participants. Prepares course graduates for either the USCG OUPV; FAA UAG: or NHTSA Compliant AV Testing Permits modelled after the state of California forms OL-311/312/313/ and OL-317/319.
UASA 130 Maintenance of Robotics Systems
2-days covering the all aspects of either Land.Air.Sea Robotics systems commissioning and maintenance, including data and operational readiness assessment for use in public safety. Each 2-day course provides a solid foundation for maintenance and technical staff to understand and implement the Maintenance components of LASR within a public agency.
UASA 112 Certification/Licensing Practical Prep
2-day field training program for system-specific operations, checklist based decision making, and overall pilot competency. Includes mission specific training where applicable and training on the use of MOBAARS.

The IR&D Programs at UAS Academy are designed to help the public by preparing and standardizing public safety organizations who cannot on their own justify the costs associated with developing, validating, verfiying, and operating a LASR Strike Team training program. With more than a decade of experience in LASR, the UAS Academy's non-profit scientific and educational mission makes UASA a great partner for public safety orgnaizations seeking to implement with their own instructors, a LASR Program for system-specific operations, checklist based decision making, and overall pilot competency. Privledges that come along with achieving UASA Gold Seal Certification includes use of the curriculum published by UASA, cases and field assessments of mission activities, and where applicable, the use of MOBAARS Artificial Intelligence tools.
SUSTAINMENT: LASR-Sea Instructor Pilot Annual Certification Requirements:
Teach Each Core Course Once Per Year
Complete UASA 112 Certification Semi-Annual Online Refresher
1-day online course delivery refresher. Must be completed not less than 60 days prior to UASA Gold Seal validation where UASA 512 course Gold Seal Instructor(s) observe you teaching in the field training program.
Complete UASA 112 Certification Annual In-Field Standards Evaluation
Standardization includes but is not limited to assessment for system-specific operations, checklist based decision making, and overall pilot competency. Includes mission specific training where applicable and training on the use of MOBAARS.
